Knights of the Round Table

Knights of the Round Table is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

The player controls a knight trying to defend their castle from enemies. The knight moves laterally at the bottom of the screen and has a sword that can strike a short distance vertically. Enemy warriors approach at variable speeds from the top of the screen, and the player tries to destroy them as soon as they come within range of their sword.

If an enemy reaches the bottom of the screen, gameplay changes to a separate screen representing the castle walls, where the player must destroy rocks before they reach the castle. If the player misses, or is hit by too many rocks, it's game over.
