LEGO Jurassic World

LEGO Jurassic World is a single-player and multiplayer action game with puzzle elements. The story adapts the events of the four Jurassic Park films, retelling them with LEGO characters and environments. Players relive key moments from the original Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World. Each film’s narrative is divided into missions where the player takes on the roles of multiple characters, solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles to progress through the storyline.

Gameplay follows the familiar LEGO action structure. Levels combine platforming, combat, and puzzle-solving, often requiring switching between different characters to use their unique abilities. For example, scientists can analyze DNA or reconstruct fossils, hunters can track dinosaur footprints, and engineers can repair machinery. Combat involves simple melee attacks and environmental interactions, with enemies ranging from small dinosaurs to armed guards.

A central feature of the game is the interaction with dinosaurs. Certain levels allow players to control dinosaurs directly, using their abilities to smash obstacles, solve puzzles, or battle other creatures. Collecting amber and DNA throughout the game unlocks additional dinosaurs that can be customized in a genetic laboratory. This system lets players create hybrid dinosaurs with mixed traits, which can then be used in free-play mode.

Progression requires gathering LEGO studs and hidden collectibles. Completing levels unlocks free-play mode, where players can revisit locations with any available characters or dinosaurs to find secrets missed in the story run. Each of the four films has its own hub area, such as Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna, which players can explore between missions. These hubs contain side objectives, races, and bonus puzzles.
