Math Ace

Math Ace is an educational game for children aged eight to fourteen where players use math and logic skills to help Bit Bot defeat a rampant computer virus. The game is played on a single screen on a grid comprising 80 microchips. The aim of the game is to surround the virus with Bit Bots before the virus can reach the edge. The walling in is done by clicking any chip on the grid and then a direction. On the left side of the screen math questions also appear and they need to be answered correctly for the chip to be placed. A score is then also awarded. If questions are not answered quickly enough the virus will start eating unoccupied chips, attempting to reach the edge of the grid. The process is repeated with every level.

Clicking a chip on the board can also trigger a duel where the virus will challenge the player in of four possible activities: Angle Cannon, Bubble Gum Machine, Hide and Seek, and Function Shoot. If the duel is lost an egg is placed on the board and if there already is an egg it will hatch. There are two difficulty levels, influencing the math problems.

The Smart Lab section provides theory and exercises about basic concepts, arithmetic, the real world, charts and graphs, probability, geometry and algebra.
