Meltdown
Description
Meltdown is a nuclear power plant simulation for the TRS-80.
You are the chief engineer at the plant, and your goal is to keep the plant running at full power. You must respond to malfunctions in the plant which are indicated by the presence of yellow or red alarms depending on the seriousness of the problem. Malfunctions can be determined by observing the plant status panel display, and the proper repair action must be taken. More difficult problems can require several repair actions before the problem is detected and corrected.
If the plant efficiency drops too low you are fired. There are several command options, including starting pumps 1 or 2, raising or lowering control rods, and turning on or off the generator, controlling the pressure relief valve, or dispatching repair crew. Nuclear power plant status is graphically displayed on the screen.
