Mongol Vojna Chingishana
Description
Mongol is a real time strategy set in the early 11-th century during the reign of Genghis Khan. As a master conqueror you'll have to take your armies to take over China, and as Chinese commander you'll of course need to fend off the Mongolian invaders. The game provides two campaigns for the both sides.
Mongol is built using Enigma engine, which was first used for Blitzkrieg, also a RTS which was set during WW2, and as the predecessor, it features isometric view with tactical battles and excludes nearly all building and resource management from the equation. But unlike battlefields of 1940s, Mongol concentrates attention on different types of historical troops: horse archers, swordsmen, pikemen. The only machines presented are artillery types and the ones used for siege like catapults or trebuchets. There's a built-in encyclopedia that lists all units and provides historical information regarding their use in battles.
This game was released as a tie-in for Sergei Bodrov 2007 historical film Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan.
