Murderous Pursuits
Description
Murderous Pursuits is a third-person perspective stealth game, similar to The Ship. It is set in a science-fiction Victorian steampunk setting, on a time-travelling ship. The story: the players have received a mysterious invitation for Mr. X's deadly assassination game - all players are hunters and quarries at the same time.
The goal is simple: the player must find and kill their "preys", before designated "hunters" find and kill them. But everyone must be careful, because nobody truly knows what the preys and hunters look like, and they can hide in a crowd of identical people. Each murder grants points, dependent on the weapons used by the killer, or how well the killer avoids exposure.
Additionally, there are inept guard characters who try to stop the murders on board, and are able to "arrest" the players.
The game has 8 playable and 8 unlockable characters. There are three main game modes - "hunt", "free-for all" where everyone hunts other players, and "elimination" where a killed player don't return until the start of the next round. The game is meant for multiplayer play, but bots are also available.
