Game cover: Ninja Jajamaru-kun: Onigiri Ninpōchō

Description

Ninja Jajamaru-kun: Onigiri Ninpōchō is an instalment in the Ninja Jajamaru-kun series and the first to be realized in 3D. Players once again control Jajamaru-kun as he fights his way through a land inspired by Japanese mythology in order to rescue Princess Sakura, who is being held captive by the villainous Catfish Tayu. The game is played from a fixed behind-view perspective and Jajamaru-kun can move left, right, forwards and backwards through the 3D environment.

As in previous games, Jajamaru-kun can jump onto platforms to navigate levels as well as throw shurikens to defeat enemies. He can also collect power ups and use a katana to dispatch enemies that get too close. Defeating enemies and collecting silver pieces awards points which add up to a total score. There is a time limit to each level and any seconds remaining in the timer when the level is completed are converted into points which are added to the player's score.
