Nürburgring 3
Description
Nürburgring 3 is a first person racing game, and it is the sequel to Nürburgring 1
The arcade cabinet has a color monitor, a steering wheel, gas and brake pedals and a gear shift. The graphics have been improved over its predecessors, with the road now clearly visible with white rail guards, a yellow center line. The road winds and curves down to the horizon, going through a green field under a blue sky. A monitor overlay sticker displays the boxes at the bottom of the screen for the distance, speed and misses.
The player has 90 seconds to drive across the finish line, crashing the car results in a time penalty. Cross the finish line for a short melody. Reach the finish line below a certain time and a longer melody will play, and the player is awarded one extra free game.
The game was intended to be a driving simulator and it was built using the discrete logic technology on 25 separate circuit boards, it doesn't appear to use any CPU.
