Ōedo Renaissance

Description
Ōedo Renaissance is an economic simulation game set in 18th-century Edo, Japan, based on the life of infamous economic counselor Tanuma Okitsugu, who in real life was responsible for major economic reforms in Japan during the Tenmei era. The player takes the role of Tanuma, with orders from shogun Tokugawa Ieharu to revitalize the capital of Edo and build reserves of six million ryō. The player's primary interaction is managing economic factors such as taxes, budgets, and investments, including public works projects and even international trade. Scientific and cultural advancements also play a major part in progression, with the city visibly changing and developing in real-time as the economy grows.
