- 20 new missions, bringing the total number of missions for this title to 250
- All new aircraft for Mission Crimea including Messerschmidt Bf109G-10, Bf109G-14, Bf109K-4, Fw190A and Fw190D-9
- All new IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles aircraft are included in all the dogfight maps
- 9 new skins for the P-47, Hurricane, Fw-190A-8/9, and Bf109K-4
- The add-on had been redesigned to be compatible with IL-2 Sturmovik and IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles
The above text lists the new features in this Special Edition, however the back cover also stares that the player can:
- "take part in 250 historically accurate missions"
- while another sentence states the player can "fly 390 missions from the campaign in single player mode"
- take part in an extra 28 Luftwaffe missions, 34 Russian VVD missions and 20 multiplayer missions
