Operation: Desert Storm

Operation: Desert Storm is an action game that takes place during the Gulf War where the player controls a M1A1 tank from a top down perspective. The game contains twenty missions at different locations in Kuwait, Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia. In each mission the player has to complete the given objectives and reach a pickup location within a certain time. If being more than thirty seconds late penalty points will be given.

The player will encounter three different Iraqi tanks (T-55, T-62 and T-72) as well as G-5 Howitzers, gunner stations, Mi-24 Hind helicopters and two different fighter planes (MiG-29 Fulcrum and Mirage F-1). There are also land mines and chemical weapons (mustard gas and hydrogen cyanide) to watch out for. A sensor warns the player when getting too close to a land mine while to get through a poison gas cloud it is necessary to turn on gas protection. When gas protection is on it is not possible to fire shells or missiles. The player has three lives and any contact with an enemy vehicle or their projectiles lead to one being lost. It's also necessary to keep track of the tank's fuel and it's possible to pick up fuel pods to refill.
