Operation G.H.O.S.T.

Operation G.H.O.S.T. is an on-rails light gun game for one or two players, and it's the sequel to Ghost Squad.

The story takes place in the year 2035 and follows a task force called G.H.O.S.T. (Global Humanitarian Operations & Special Tactics) which is fighting a terrorist organization called Blue Wolf who have seized Uranium in an attempt to build nuclear weapons.

There are 5 missions in total. Missions 1 takes place on a train, terrorists have hijacked a passenger train. Mission 2, infiltrate the embassy located in two skyscrapers and rescue the hostages. Missions 3, air drop onto a container ship that has been taken over by pirates. Missions 4, protect a large semi truck that is carrying a nuclear war head through the desert, fight off an attacking group of bandits on motor cycles and in helicopters. Final mission, infiltrate an island with a nuclear facility, here players will also encounter some of the earlier bosses again.

The game is mostly on rails but occasionally there is a branching path, the screen will flash "choose your route" and players can choose a normal or hard path. The cabinet has two large tethered plastic assault rifles that have a safety pin and a button to launch a special weapon, a yellow scanning effect to locate enemies. The attract mode demo features a song reminiscent of 90s Saturday morning cartoons.
