Petrophobia

Description
Petrophobia is a short adventure game made for the Game Boy Competition 2023. The story takes place in an unspecified European colony somewhere in the Middle East or Central Asia at the turn of the 20th century, and involves themes of colonial cruelty and oil exploitation, with a supernatural twist.
The game is loosely based on the short story "The Mark of the Beast" by Rudyard Kipling and a passage from Thomas Pynchon's novel "Against the Day".
