Pirates

Pirates is a pirate-themed word puzzle game for the BBC Micro.

The player is captured by pirates, and is now being walked off the plank in shark-infested waters. The player has limited attempts to guess a word that is shown initially by blanks. Each successful guess is displayed, and each incorrect guess causes the player to walk further along the plank. Solving a puzzle causes the captor to be eaten by sharks, failure to do so leads the player to the same fate. There are two levels of difficulty, and words are player submitted.
