Pirate's Peril

Pirate's Peril is a text adventure for the BBC Micro and Electron.

The player is Captain Bloodbeard, swashbuckling pirate, who has been captured by navy ships after several days of combat. After being struck unconscious by nearby cannon shot, the player finds themselves waking up in a cold jail cell to await trial. The player must escape their jail cell and the nearby town, gather a new crew, and set off to sea in search of plunder. In their adventure they encounter ogres, mermaids, desolate swamps, catacombs, and other dangers.
