Description
PREVED.Igra is a managerial game with a self-sustained economy, themed after the Russian Internet meme "PREVED" that was extremely popular in 2006.
Originally, it started with a basic mechanic, when each player gets a referral link to his profile. Link visitors are greeted with "PREVED" (originally "Surprise!" in English) and the host's "medved" (slang for "bear") can then spend some power, which diminishes with time. More visitors means higher position in leaderboards. As their real counterparts, bears are in need of food, which restores power, so player send their alter ego to earn money on some job. Later food can be bought in stores.
Over time, the game economic and user base expanded. Jobs were separated into resource and production, industries started to provide careers. Medveds became aware of their gender, making it possible to marry others.
Due to a decline in popularity, the game eventually stagnated and lost most of its public in a couple of years.
