Rainbow Islands Extra

Rainbow Islands Extra is a version of the classic Taito coin-op Rainbow Islands. It has the same levels as the original, but the enemies and bosses have been rearranged so that ones from later in the game populate the earlier levels to make the game more challenging. This is similar to the "Super Bubble Bobble" mode of the original game of the series.

As in the original, the game is set in the titular Rainbow Islands, where the two brothers Bub and Bob in human form must free the islands from the evil monsters who have overrun them, by using the magical power of rainbows!

The home console version includes both the the original game and the reworked Extra version, as well as three difficulty levels.
