RedCat: De toffe tijdreis

RedCat: De toffe tijdreis is an educational game in the RedCat series with a lighthearted science fiction premise involving time travel and exploration. The story follows RedCat, who is enjoying a snack at the Burger Cat when his UFO is secretly sabotaged by Brutus and Max. When he attempts to leave, the damaged craft careens out of control and crashes near a mysterious cave, transporting him far from his own time. RedCat soon discovers that he has been sent to prehistoric times, where he learns from his friend WhizzKitty that his UFO lacks the energy required to return to the present. The player's primary objective is to help RedCat navigate unfamiliar environments from a distant era and locate the energy needed to repair the UFO and restore its time-travel capabilities.

This is done through several fixed-screen platform environments where RedCat needs to collect objects, navigate the environments and avoid enemies. Levels are connected through a flip screen mechanic. Each level is set in a different time period and between levels multiple choice questions about history need to be answered.
