Description
Rengoku: The Network of Deucalion is a mobile phone adaptation of Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory released through the Hudson Soft's HUDSON Real3D subscription service for the FOMA 901i and 902i series cell phones. The game required a monthly 300 yen (315 yen including tax) subscription fee.
After mankind found peace, robots used in warfare were discarded into a tower called the Purgatory. You take control of such an Autonomous Combat Weapon, ADAM, and must battle others alike you in the tower.
The game features a single player Scenario Mode and a multiplayer Pancration Mode:
In the Scenario Mode, players must clear eight floors of the Purgatory while modifying their ADAM with capsules obtained by defeating enemies. Capsules can be used at Terminals, one of which can be found in each floor, to unlock parts to enhance the ADAM's body parts. Finding Transfer Machines allow the players to enter new levels of the tower once each floor's boss has been cleared.
In the Pancreation Mode, players take on each others to claim the opponent's items to power up their ADAM in a winner-takes-all match. The equipment can be used in the Scenario Mode.
