Rescue Air 911

Description
Rescue Air 911 is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator (v5.1). Though the simulator can be run in both Windows and DOS this package must be installed via Windows, additionally the add-on required Flight Simulator Flight Shop is required, a maintenance upgrade for this product is included on the disc taking Flight Shop to version 5.01
The installation process runs in two stages. The first stage runs under Windows and copies files from the disc onto the users machine, when this is done an 'Installation Complete' message is displayed after which a DOS window opens and a file extraction process begins.
Once installed the player will find three new aircraft, a DH DASH 8-300 in white Sim Air livery, a twin engine Air Rescue Cessna 414-A and a single engine Rescue Air Cessna 182 RG - the last two are in red livery. In the Adventure Factory drop down menu there is an entry for "Rescue Air 911 - The Game", the new adventure which is described as a mix of flying skill and strategy. The game is set in the town of Simville which has eight areas containing injured people. The player's task is to fly rescue missions to bring the injured to the Mallard Memorial Hospital before their fuel runs out, the plane having enough fuel for forty minutes flight and no more. Completed missions earn money and the tame's objective is to earn as much as possible before time runs out.
The game communicates with the player with audio air traffic control messages as well as text which appears in a bar above the instrument panel.
