Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Extra Episode 1: The Struggle

The Struggle is DLC for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Episode One: Penal Colony and it adds an extra episode to the game. The DLC is also included by default in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Complete Season and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (retail release).

It assumes players have completed the full campaign as it fills an important gap in the story, what happened to Moira after she got separated from Claire and buried in a rubble after an unsuccessful escape from the tower in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Episode Four: Metamorphosis. She got rescued by Evgeniy, a Russian island inhabitant Claire and Moira met in the sewers. This DLC takes place during the six months time, after the end of the fourth episode for Claire and Moira, but prior to Barry's final fight with Alex Wesker in the fourth episode. Similar to the design of the original game there are two characters with specific abilities the player can switch between. In single-player the other character is then controlled through the AI, but both offline and online cooperative games are supported as well. Unlike the original game Moira is forced into action and needs to use guns. The DLC is split up into several parts that resemble a survival mode as they are often played against a time limit. In a first part she needs to hunt animals to help gather food, in another the two work together to push back monsters Moira inadvertently drew to the house. Then, after six months, a strange creature enters the island and kills most of the game. Moira and the old man need to interfere to maintain their food supplies. The DLC includes Moira's survivalist costume which is a torn out version of her original clothes.
