Robot Battle

Robot Battle is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

An alien race, the Organians, have declared war against Earth. They have penetrated the Earth's Orbiting Space Station and stolen the cloaking device. The player must penetrate 5 levels of the Organian spaceship, retrieve the cloaking device, and escape from the ship.

The player can move and fire in the cardinal directions. The player has 10 seconds, and a limited number of movement turns, each round. There are 3 levels of difficulty, and the player receives 4, 3, or 2 turns per round depending on the challenge. The goal each level is to evade or destroy the alien robots and spiders to reach the exit on the other side of the screen. The player has limited shield power, which is decreased when shot by enemies, making it game over when the shields are depleted. Some enemies require multiple shots to destroy, and enemies can become partially disabled. When spiders are shot, they become aggravated, and begin to fire wildly in all directions.
