Rough Rider
Description
Rough Rider is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.
The play controls a car that moves in all directions in the desert, and must avoid running into cactuses, and the bombs dropped from passing airplanes. The car can shoot to the left or the right a short distance, but this does not damage enemies. Every few seconds, an orange light indicator appears, and the next shot will be a rocket launched vertically out of the vehicle, which can shoot down passing planes. The player starts with 5 lives, and there are 3 levels of difficulty. At higher difficulty, the cactus position is randomly rearranged.
