School Rumble: Neru Musume wa Sodatsu.

School Rumble: Neru Musume wa Sodatsu is a manga spin-off which also spanned an anime TV series. In this school-oriented visual novel adventure the player is a young high-school sophomore girl by the name of Tenma Tsukamoto. Unlike in majority of visual novels, she will be present on the screen during dialogues which adds a 3rd-person perspective feel but without the ability to control your character in any way, though occasionally you get to play a mini-game which requires quick-reflexes or get choice that affect the dialogues and the story in some way.

The storytelling is intertwining your dreams (and/or nightmares) which also affect what will happen the next day when you wake up and go to school. You can also obtain certain keywords by talking to characters which can be used during dream sequences so your dreams don't turn into nightmares. In between conversations and visiting locations, you'll be able to select your next location to go to, and will see the characters at those locations. But time moves as you select your destinations, so you will not be able to check them all, or even half, before the day passes.
