Seven-Bridge

Game cover: Seven-Bridge

Description

Seven-Bridge is a Japanese alternate history adult visual novel with fantasy elements which chronicles the journey of two strangers travelling aboard a train across a devastated Europe. The history of this world diverged from ours at the start of the 20th century, when the Black Death returned in force and decimated the European population. When the Ottoman Empire struck, the few survivors of Europe were powerless to resist them, and the continent was burned in the name of Jihad.

The player controls Kuu Klein, a man who possesses the ability to read minds, but chooses not to most of the time due to the pain it causes. The only survivor of his village in Germany, Klein fled to Beijing in search of a better life, only for the city to become impoverished as a result of a brewing World War. Klein decides that if the war will encompass the world, then he might as well spend his final days at home, resolving to find a way back to Germany. The only way back to Germany is aboard the "Black Train", but only those with a Black Ticket can board it. To Klein's surprise, a quiet girl named Emma whose mind he cannot read offers him a Black Ticket on the condition that he will accompany her on her journey. The train must cross seven bridges between Beijing and Germany, and on each bridge, a terrible trial awaits.

Like most visual novels, most of the game is spent reading the text that appears on screen representing the dialogue between the characters or the protagonist's inner thoughts. At specific points throughout the game, the player will come to a "decision point" where they must choose from several options on screen which may influence the direction of the story. The game features Japanese voice acting and contains explicit sexual content.
