Sleepless Night
Description
Sleepless Night is a short horror/psychological visual novel. The nameable protagonist is a classmate of Haru and they decided to team up to work on a school project. Therefore, the protagonist invited Haru to his house. However, in this night something strange happens. Something seems to be wrong. When the lights go out, they decide to watch a movie on Haru's laptop. The protagonist falls asleep and when he/she wakes up again after a nightmare the bed is empty. Haru is nowhere to be seen and suddenly the hero is locked in the room.
The game offers a variety of different options to escape the room or to find out what is wrong, leading to one out of ten different endings. The player reads the story and can make decisions occasionally or find objects by clicking on them on the screen. The game is a mix between visual novel, sound novel and hidden object game. The character Haru is based on Marcel Weyers' novel series "The Shadow-Trilogy". However, the story is not related to the books in contrast to his first visual novel "Soulmates". Although there is a true ending, the game leaves room for interpretations.
