Sneak Thief

Sneak Thief is a 1 - 2 player arcade game for the TRS-80.

The player controls a guard armed with a gun patrolling a large stash of money in the center of the screen. From the 3 exits of the screen come thieves, who attempt to sneak to the money and run off with it to the room exits. The player must try to capture the thieves before they reach the money by running into them without shooting them, thus sending the thief to the brig. After stealing money, the thief becomes a fugitive, and becomes dangerous if touched. The player receives points for shooting a thief or fugitive, and if a fugitive is shot the money returns to the center. Protectors also appear, which move towards the player, and will take a life if touched. Each level, the player must capture a certain number of thieves to advance to the next challenge. The player has 3 lives, and if all are lost or if all 18 pieces of gold are stolen, it's game over.
