Sorcery Is for Saps
Description
The heir to the throne marches with an armed retinue to the Sorcerer's tower with grim news: on the eve of an important trade negotiation, King Magnus of Introggen has been cursed! There, the resident mage assures them that the situation is well in hand. But this is not entirely correct: in truth, the Sorcerer is away at a conclave, and the reassuring mage is actually an apprentice, a magic-using aspirant with a long way yet to go. But because the circumstances demand immediate action, they -- actually the player -- deem it appropriate to impersonate the master Sorcerer and try to the fullest extent of their burgeoning abilities to get a handle on the situation. Wacky hijinks ensue.
With the help of the Sorcerer's persnickety familiar Fergie the ferret, the player uses magical means to unravel clues and conspiracies in the intrigue-filled capital city of Emporia and get to the heart of the mysterious curse of kindness afflicting the monarch... and perhaps to also get to the heart of a romantic partner.
