Space Tactics

The lunar energy bases are under attack by aliens from Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and Mercury. Your goal is to destroy the enemy and protect the bases from being obliterated by dropped bombs.

The main screen is the view from your rocket ship, as the main wave of aliens arrive from the distance. You are armed with twin lasers which shoot directly towards the centre of the screen, and you must maneuver your ship to direct your fire towards the enemy. The opposing ships and their bombs can each be taken out by a single well timed laser blast.

The lunar bases have protection in the form of an energy shield covering all of the bases. But a direct hit by a bomb will leave a hole in the shield, which can then be penetrated by later bombs. The shield can be renewed up to four or six times on the first level, and one or two additional times for each subsequent level, depending on settings. Each individual base has its own defence missile which the player can activate to take out any bombs about to hit that base. Each base only has one defence missile.

You start the game with 5 lunar bases, and the game ends when they have all been destroyed.
