Spacewarp

Spacewarp is a 1-player space strategy game for the BBC Micro.

As an officer in the Federation Deep Space Fleet, the player must show their suitability for the position of Intergalactic Upholder of the Peace, Class 1a. The player is provided with a complete starship simulator with a number of increasingly difficult missions to show their skill.

Scenarios include:

• The Organian Rim Intrusion
• The Romulan Incident
• The Great Galactic War
• A Piracy Outbreak
• Into the Unknown
• Routine Patrol

Operating the starship requires three separate control systems. The helm console allows navigation of warp speeds and intelligence functions. The battle display allows navigation at impulse (sublight) speeds and all combat operations. Thirdly, the ship's computer allows precise allocation and distribution of energy.

The ship's dilithium crystals produce energy at a set rate. Ship systems include warp engines, impulse engines, scanners, life support, and damage control. Weapons includes phasers and photo torpedoes.
