Speedway Manager 98
Description
Speedway Manager 98 is a management game of the Polish speedway league. The main task of the player is the appropriate financial management of the club and win the championship. Compared to the previous part of the series the player may start with one of two available leagues - first or the second. The teams and the way they are set are in line with the realities and rules of the Polish league.
Income comes only from tickets, advertisements, radio and TV transmissions or bank loans. The expenditure includes the purchase and repair of motorcycles and accessories, training, fitness, salaries of players, travelling to matches, maintenance of stadium facilities, track preparation, expanding stadium, rider transfers, penalties or treatment of drivers.
The match window shows all the races with full stats, allows to carry out the substitutions, change gears in motorcycles, repair of equipment and improve the surface of the stadium. The player may turn on the 3D match animations of the full match or start/finish line only. The result of each run is commented on by the announcer.
The driver is described by six factors: technology, start, valor, strength, reflex and theory. Each can be equipped with a total of twenty motorcycle accessories. The Motorbike is described by eight factors: engine, muffler, frame, clutch, telescopes, carburetor, tires and overall. Each part of the motorbike requires regular repairs.
The game features a multiplayer mode for registered buyers only.
