Star Battalion

Star Battalion is a third person action game similar to the Star Fox series and Star Wars games such as Rogue Squadron. The narrative is also Star Wars inspired with the player being an ace pilot who is a member of the resistance against the militaristic Royalists.

The game is played from a behind view by default but this can be changed to a cockpit view. The game uses accelerometer based controls and steering is done by tilting the device. Attacking the enemies can be done with a regular fire consisting of lasers or a secondary weapon that fires missiles or bombs (depending on the ship). Sliding a finger horizontally across the screen performs a barrel roll while doing so vertically performs a u-turn. Barrel rolls are useful for dodging missiles while u-turns can be used to escape from an enemy that is on the player's tail.

In addition to the singleplayer campaign there is a multiplayer co-op mode that can be played locally over wi-fi or online.
