Steel Paws

Steel Paws is a mobile action game that combines robot combat, platforming, and exploration in a stylized, anime-inspired world. Players control customizable feline-inspired robots known as Buddy Robots. The objective is to conquer a mysterious tower that reappears every century, fighting through enemy robots, overcoming platforming challenges, and defeating bosses at the end of each level. Upon defeat, players return to the central village hub, where they can purchase items, upgrade skills, and prepare for the next attempt. It features minimal narrative content, primarily delivered through brief cut-scenes and snippets of dialogue.

Combat is fast-paced, relying on melee attacks and special abilities that charge over time. When fully charged, special abilities can be unleashed to clear groups of enemies. During gameplay, players frequently earn upgrades by leveling up, choosing from two available options mid-battle via directional inputs or touchscreen icons. Buddy Robots play a supportive role, each possessing unique special abilities. Activating these abilities involves throwing the Buddy Robot at enemies.

Upon completing the main game, players unlock two additional modes: Stage Select, which allows replaying previous levels, and Time Attack, which challenges players to complete stages as quickly as possible.
