Sticks

Sticks is a game based on the paper-and-pencil game "Dots and Boxes", where players score points by joining dots which complete boxes. This implementation is designed so 2-4 people can place themselves around the screen and play without moving from their seats, since each player sees his own score (facing his own way). The game can be played in an everyone-for-themselves mode, or the players can be divided in 2 teams of 2 players each. Besides the usual layout with a square grid, the game also offers the option of playing in irregular grids made of varied polygons (where you score points proportionally to the number of sides of the polygon you completed). Finally, to spice things up, some boxes might contain symbols which award extra points or interrupt your scoring runs. Any players in any mode can be replaced by the game's AI, in two difficulty levels.
