Sugoro Quest++ Dicenics
Description
Sugoro Quest++ Dicenics is a board game with RPG elements. It is a follow up to the game Sugoro Quest: Dice no Senshi Tachi. The game takes place in the kingdom of Siland, where the king summons four warriors to embark on a quest to defeat monsters. The four warriors then navigate one of three maps in the style of a board game, rolling dice to move an amount of spaces corresponding to the number on the dice blocks. Their goal is collect the most points. The game can be played with up to four players, with computer opponents filling in for any missing players. Six different characters can be selected from, with each having different stats.
When the player selects the board they want to play on, they are able to select the conditions of the game. For example, they might set the game to finish after two hours, or after a certain amount of quests have been completed. The player must roll the dice to move their character across the board, with many of the spaces having different properties that will be activated if they are landed on. For example, spaces with a heart labeled on them are known as lucky spots, which give rewards to the player such as items. There are also spaces which can give the player an extra dice roll and ones which can harm the player in various ways, such as incapacitating them for a certain amount of turns. There are villages that the player can visit around the board, who ask for certain requests to be completed. Each competitor can also use magic and items on their turn, such as healing themselves or attacking an opponent with a magic spell.
If two players land on the same space on the board, they will engage in battle with each other. The player can attack with magic, or by tossing a number of dice blocks on the screen. Whichever player does more damage to the other is declared the winner, and awarded experience points. The player will also encounter monsters on the map who they will have to defeat if they run into them. If the player dies in battle, they are carried to the starting point of the map and cannot move for several turns until they are brought back to life. Each competitor is awarded points based on their performance throughout the game, and once the game is over points are assigned based on the player's possessions, such as how many items they held. Whichever player has the most points by the end is declared the winner.
