Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe

Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe is the sequel to Super Puzzle Platformer. The game mixes elements of platform shooting with falling block puzzle gameplay. Multicolored blocks fall from the ceiling, filling up the play space where your player character runs around, and threatening to crush him.

Armed with a gun you can shoot blocks to destroy them, which releases golden shards that will level up your character's weapon if enough are collected. Adjacent blocks of the same color will be destroyed together, giving a point and item bonus. Destroying blocks can be risky, however, as touching the bottom of the level is lethal.

Traps and hostile creatures will also occasionally drop from the ceiling, and touching them will result in an instant game over. These can only be destroyed by destroying a regular block that touches them. Different levels have their own enemies and quirks.

There is also a 2 player split-screen mode, where competing players must try to survive the longest.
