Urban legends tell of the "red elevator" - an elevator in a haunted apartment building that occasionally descends on its own from the off-limits top floor, its walls stained in blood. Freelance occult writer Renji Mirokuin heads over to investigate, but as he digs up the dirt he starts uncovering tidbits about an unsolved incident from eight years ago. It seems this mystery will have something deeper to it...

Players take on the role of detective Ryōsuke Kibukawa as they take part in the investigation. This menu-driven adventure game is set up like traditional Japanese-style adventures; gameplay is heavily dialogue-driven and menu-based, with players choosing from various different investigation options via a text-based menu.
