Description
Two separate cases, being investigated simultaneously - an unsolved series of murders, and the disappearance of a secretary. On the surface, these two crimes seem separate, but as they're investigated from separate perspectives it becomes clear that each will be the key to solving the other.
Over the past year, a series of mysterious murders have been occurring but the police are stumped: they can't find a connection between the victims, and they're struggling to produce a profile for the killer. Assistant detective Izuna Sagishimai is called in to join the investigation to see if she can find something that the existing team has failed to tease out.
Meanwhile, screenwriter Masao Irukumi is recruited to investigate a missing persons case. A secretary named Yumiko Hamakawa has disappeared after a month on the job, and no one has a clue as to where she's gone or what's happened to her.
