The Black Hole

The Black Hole is a three part shoot 'em up game that has some similarities to the arcade game Phoenix. The objective is to seek out and defeat the leader of the alien race the Dorfians who is hiding at the bottom of a black hole. The game controls the same in all sections with the player being able to move right and left, shoot and use a shield to block projectiles.

The first section involves getting through a long corridor without getting hit by any of the meteoroids flying past. This is made more difficult by the walls constantly moving towards the centre with little space left towards the end. In the second part the alien leader appears at the top of the screen. He is protected by a moving wall that has to be shot through. As time goes, the wall descends towards the player's position. The third section is similar to the mother ship stage in Phoenix. The player has to hit a target in the middle of the ship but first break down its underside. Once completed the game restarts at the first section.
