The Black Orb

The Black Orb is a Gauntlet variant where players select one of four characters: warrior, archer, wizard, or axe man. The objective is to navigate maze-like dungeon levels while combating enemies. Defeating foes involves colliding with them, which depletes the player's health. If health runs out, the game ends. The dungeons feature collectible items such as potions and keys, as well as environmental hazards. In contrast to the original, there is no hunger mechanic which constantly drains health.

Before starting a new game, players have the freedom to choose from the available levels. These levels can be modified using the integrated level editor.
