The Curse of Kudan: Folklore of Kudan

The Curse of Kudan is a Japanese horror visual novel featuring yuri (girl/girl) romance. The player controls a female student and is periodically tasked with making a decision that will determine the outcome of the story. The game features voice acting for all significant characters including the protagonist and does not have any sexual content.

The protagonist of this tale is Sakuya Kudan, a second-year student at the Kudan Women's Academy in the Kudan District of Tokyo, Japan. The Kudan District has a local urban legend about a malicious spirit, which is also named Kudan, that takes the form of a woman with a severed hand shrouded in a mourning dress. The legend says that whoever lays eyes on the spirit will suffer terrible misfortune exactly seven days later. When Sakuya befriends an attractive female teacher named Touko Shima who has encountered the spirit, she becomes desperate to protect her, going to the university's Occult Studies Club for help. As Sakuya delves deeper into the mystery with the club's president, Koto Akinashi, she discovers that she may have a connection to the spirit that extends beyond just her name.
