The Last Kids on Earth: Happy Apocalypse to You is an interactive movie created specifically for Netflix's "Netflix Interactive" initiative, in which players are presented with choices to decide what happens next in the story, and must click one of the options via their browser, Smart TV, or mobile device within a limited amount of time to move the story along.
Happy Apocalypse to You is an interactive special connected to the television show, The Last Kids on Earth. The plot of the special follows the titualar group of kids as they try to collect items to throw a birthday party for one of the main characters, June.
During the first choice in the game, not selecting any option will result in a tutorial video being played, given by the kids. If the player chooses one of the wrong options at any point in the story and reaches a "bad" ending, they are given the chance to reset back at the last choice, restart the full game, or watch the credits. There is one final "good" ending the player can achieve if they succesfully collected the Helium Tank, Nacho Fountain, and Cake. In the good ending, the kids drive Jane to the football stadium in the city and throw her surprise party.
