The New Yorker Crossword Puzzle
Description
The New Yorker Crossword Puzzle is a standard crossword puzzle, initially posted once a week on The New Yorker website. Players are given a 15 x 15 grid and must solve the clues as given on the right side of the screen; clues draw from history, pop culture and local New York knowledge.
New puzzles were originally published on a weekly basis every Monday morning, but in 2019 the site started publishing "The Weekend Crossword" on Fridays and, in 2020, switched to three updates a week, with varying difficulty for each day. The Crossword became daily in March of 2022.
During the COVID pandemic, a partner mode was added to allow players to collaborate on a puzzle.
