The Room Syndrome

Game cover: The Room Syndrome

Description

The Room Syndrome is a single person, minimalist game with multiple endings. It is a short game which the developer says is intended to be played through in one sitting therefore there is no save-game function.

The game is mainly keyboard controlled, the W/A/S/D keys are used for movement whine the E key is used to interact with objects, however to manipulate some objects the player has to use the mouse.

The game starts with the player's character getting off a train and walking down a passageway to enter a room. In the room is David. He's been there so long he no longer remembers when he arrived, David does know that the door is locked and there's no key so now both characters are stuck. The player can examine many things in the room and some actions will trigger a time paradox that transports the player to a different version of the room at a different time where they may or may not be on their own. Eventually, through scattered notes and conversations with David the player will piece together a story and arrive at one of the endings, there are at least five.
