Thieves and Kings

Game cover: Thieves and Kings

Description

There are two card games in one (three in version 1.3a onward):

  • Forty Thieves - 35 cards are face up and divided into seven columns of 5. There is also a stack of 20 cards with only the top card face up, which can eliminate any card from the columns which is one number higher or lower (Ace after King and vice versa does not count). The game is won when all seven columns are eliminated.
  • Kings Corners - The entire deck of cards must be placed on a grid of 16 spaces without the player getting stuck. Kings always go in corners, queen always go on sides, and jacks always go on the top or bottom. When the grid is filled, cards can be eliminated if they add up to 10.
  • Fortitude - Works a bit like Klondike Solitaire in the Vegas mode with FreeCell mechanics and no kings or queens. The layout consists of six card columns with two empty spaces and a stack of Fortitude cards. Its important never to draw a Fortitude card unless it is needed. If the entire fortitude stack is drawn and there are no moves to perform, the player is stuck.
