Tiles

Description
Tiles is the first non-text game from The New York Times, created to appeal to non-English speakers. The player is shown a 5 x 6 grid of tiles containing different patterns or icons. After they select one tile, the subsequent tile the player clicks on must contain at least one pattern element or icon in common, which makes the matching element disappear from the grid. The object of the game is to clear the entire board of images while maintaining an unbroken streak of matches. The tile patterns change regularly and a player can play up to eight times a day without paying for a New York Times Games subscription. Subscribers get access to more tile designs, many of which are named after world cities like Austin and Kuala Lumpur.
