World's Greatest Cities Mahjong

Description
World's Greatest Cities Mahjong is a single player, mouse controlled tile matching game.
The game starts in New York where there are twenty levels to play through and then progresses through other cities which include London, Venice, Sydney, Moscow, Paris, and Rio de Janeiro. Initially New York is the only city available but once that level has been cleared all other cities can be accessed and their games can be played in any order. Each level has a menu the background of which shows the skyline of one of these cities together with an information pane while the game is played with a background showing another city view.
The games contained consist of standard tile-matching mahjong and the following variations;* Non-Pairs: In this game all of the tiles have one or more partners on display apart from one and that is the tile thee player must find
- Solitaire: This uses a tile set that matches a deck of cards mixed with multiple patterned tiles. The task is to locate and select the tiles in sequence from ace to two in each suit.
- Great Wall: As the name implied there is a vertical line of bricks down the centre of the screen with equal numbers of tiles arranged on either side. The task is to clear all the tiles by selecting pairs composed of one tile from each side.
- Logical Triples: This is played with picture tiles. At the bottom of the screen are five picture tiles and for each of these tiles there is a pair of tiles in the main screen that are associated with it. For example if the lower tile is a cup of coffee the two linked tiles are a coffee bean and a coffee mill, if the lower tile is a flower then the associated pair of tiles are the seedling and the watering can. Once the linked pair has been clicked on the lower tile is replaced and the process continues until all tiles have been cleared.
- Bottom Tiles: This is played with the standard mahjong set. There are five tiles at the bottom of the screen and the player has to click on a free tile that matches any one of them. Once done both tiles disappear and the process repeats until all tiles are cleared
- 5 Seconds. The game shows a frame containing three tiles which changes every three seconds. The player's task is to identify as many matching tiles from the main pile as possible within that time
There are special tiles that help the player clear tiles faster, and time bonuses when a sequence is cleared quickly within a game.
