Game cover: World's Greatest Temples Mahjong

Description

World's Greatest Temples Mahjong is a single player, mouse controlled tile matching game.

The game starts at the temple of Luxor in Egypt where there are twenty boards to play through and then progresses through the other temples which are Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Temple of heaven in China, the Goreme Church in Turkey, the Akshardham Temple of India, The Temple of Poseidon in Greece, and the Longman Caves also from China . Initially Luxor is the only temple available but once that all twenty boards in that level have been cleared all other levels/temples can be accessed and their boards can be played in any order. Each level has a menu the background of which shows an information pane for the location while the backdrop of the games for the level is a picture of the temple..

The games contained consist of standard tile-matching mahjong and the following variations;* Bottom Tiles: This is played with the standard mahjong set. There are five tiles at the bottom of the screen and the player has to click on a free tile that matches any one of them. Once done both tiles disappear and the process repeats until all tiles are cleared

  • 5 Seconds. The game shows a frame containing three tiles which changes every three seconds. The player's task is to identify as many matching tiles from the main pile as possible within that time
  • Domino Game: The tile set used for this game are coloured numbers ranging from one to six. The player's task is to select pairs of tiles of the same colour that add up to seven and repeat the process until all the tiles are cleared.
  • Poker Game: This uses a tile set that matches a deck of cards mixed with multiple patterned tiles. The task is to construct poker hands ranging from a simple pair to a royal flush.
  • Logic: The game screen shows two arrangements of tiles separated by a wall. The task is to clear all the tiles by selecting pairs composed of one tile from each side where there is a logical connection between the two, for example a tea cup on one side would have a logical link with a tea pot on the other; a thunder cloud with an umbrella; a yacht with a ships wheel etc.
  • Memory: This is a form of Concentration. The player is shown an arrangement of tiles which are then flipped over on the screen to lie face down. At the bottom of the screen is a frame with five target tiles and the player's task is not just to fins a matching pair from the main pile of tiles but to find a pair that matches one of the target tiles.
  • Rainbow: This is a basic tile matching mahjong variant. The twist is that hidden among the tiles are seven coloured tiles ranging from red through to violet and the task is to clear the normal tiles and release the coloured tiled in order.

There are special tiles that help the player clear tiles faster, and time bonuses when a sequence is cleared quickly within a game.
