To Be a King
Description
The base Patreon release of To Be a King, developed one chapter at the time. New chapters are released both as patches or full releases up to that chapter. For Steam or GOG, this has been split into smaller volumes, making them compilations despite being subsets of the fuller game.
The story follows the player, who is an army general in his 40s, returning to the royal palace from the eastern war front in order to find out who wants to assassinate the king. While war front is straight forward where you know who your enemies are, the intrigues and deceptions that loom in the royal palace require entirely different approach that the general will have to get accustomed to. The royal family includes the king, the queen, the prince, and three princesses. The game includes a system that follows active romances with heroines adding them to player's harem if they are accepted, or to a rejected list otherwise.
