Tostchu
Description
Tostchu is an atmospheric horror game with simulation elements. Players take on the role of a young man who is responsible for taking care of a toast shop in a desolate location in middle Anatolia, Turkey. His father, the usual owner and caretaker of the shop, has to leave for an urgent matter and leaves the business to his son.
The player has to take care of the shop, clean the floor, get rid of the bugs, buy and store ingredients, meanwhile making and serving toasts (called "tost" in Turkish) to the coming customers. Some customers are special characters who expose the happenings around the shop and further the game's story.
The game has a strong cultural expression because of its specific time frame and location: 90s and middle-Anatolian Turkey. It also has no jump scares in its traditional meaning and chooses to unease the player with odd events and dialogues. It also features multiple endings based on the player's decisions. The original language is Turkish, but it has English localization support.
